This sequence was captured at 3829x1600 in Unreal. I used a single HDR backdrop and a skylight to stimulate the overcast look. Used megascan assets to introduce more details to the terrain. Also used the free automotive materials available on the marketplace. Blender was used to prep up the geo.
In my opinion, there is a bit of a learning curve to the engine is not everything is as simple as a drag-drop as we see in some tutorials. It's a bit heavy on the technical side and the science of rasterization.
Some setup is needed before you start touching photorealism. Once you got that done, the engine provides you with a tremendous amount of flexibility and control.
Realtime rendering is going to be a massive contribution to the CGI industry.
